GETTING AROUND BY:
TUBE (underground)- Is probably the fastest way to get around the city but it can be very crowded especially during peak travel times.
BUS- We take the bus a lot because it is cheaper and it is a great way to see the city as you travel. Riding the bus gives you a better sense of direction.
WALK- Of course walking is a great way to see the city and get exercise!
BIKE- In 2010 London introduced the Barclays Bikes
TAXI- Taxies are of course on of the most expensive ways to get around but can be useful if you are traveling alone at night. Make sure only to use marked taxies. Never get in a car that is unmarked!
OYSTER CARD- Get an Oyster Card to make travel simple and save money. Click here for more information about where to get one, how to add money, etc.
Transport for London is a very helpful website for planning your journey, seeing maps, bus routes, closures, rail services, etc.
