We did not touch the landscaping the first 8 months living here, and the previous owners hadn’t left things in immaculate shape, so it was need of some major attention. My dad happens to be just the guy to help! Thankfully he was willing to give his expertise and labor to help spruce things [...] After Josh and I returned from Charleston, Katie flew in for a visit from San Diego and my parents stopped on their way home from vacationing in Florida. Leave it to the sisters to throw in a little surprise or two. We didn’t tell my parents Katie was coming so when my parents arrived [...] Call it what you will… a “babymoon” a pre-baby getaway or a vacation, but our little trip to Charleston last week might have been one of the last vacations the two of us take alone before the baby arrives. I am sure we will get in some weekend trips, but Josh’s work schedule doesn’t allow [...] For most of my childhood and still today, my dad has continued Great Grandpa Bill’s garden. Although I helped out sometimes, I never really appreciated all the fresh homegrown produce or all the hard work my dad did to get such great vegetables to grow.
